Fronza & Francis (F&F), a small, minority-owned, woman-owned business, was celebrating its 10 year anniversary. They wanted to update their logo, re-launch a new and improved website, and rework all their collateral and marketing material. Starting with the logo, I worked with the F&F team to update the logo to a more streamlined look that was far more versatile than the original logo. We focused on the deep red of the brand and updated the font. Playfair Display is a Google Font, allowing us to utilize the font throughout their website and branding. Because the ampersand was such a major part of the original logo, I prioritized finding a serif font that had an amazing ampersand, and Playfair Display was just that. Using the ampersand as the primary branding element, its presence can be found throughout all of F&F’s print and web materials as an accent, texture, overlay, and more.

The new logo was quickly adopted by the F&F team, especially the highly versatile F&F lockup, even finding its way onto custom-made throw pillows placed around the venue at their 10th anniversary celebration.
