About Me

I had one grandmother who was an organized border and another grandmother who was an antique dealer. Between the two of them, I’ve inherited a pretty incredible collection of antiques. To practice building a database query with my favorite WordPress builder, I built a database of the antiques I own. This project has allowed me to learn and practice new skills and learn about my family’s history and the history of these unique objects.

Five Figure Lifestyle was created to be an inside look at the travel industry from a professional Tour Operator, Travel Agent, and Travel Manager. When I first created this blog, I worked as all of the above and documented some of the more interesting adventures and stories in the Five Figure Lifestyle blog.

Get To Know Me

I began my college education in the field of Anthropology, hoping to become an Egyptologist. After completing a semester-long field research project, I was required to create a poster and present at an archaeology conference. I had more fun and felt more confident designing that poster than conducting the research, and I quickly switched majors, graduating with a BFA in Graphic Design.

I spent five wonderful years as part of an in-house marketing team for a company of over 1,200, designing for events, tradeshows, in-house programs, sales, and more. During this time, I was awarded Employee of the Quarter and was promoted to Senior Graphic Designer.

My next career move came out of left field. I was offered a position as a trip planner for a tour operator, meaning I would plan group travel and then travel on those trips to ensure they go smoothly. Of course, I took it! I quickly found my stride as the operations manager for the company, excelling with small business operations, web design and development, and project management.

I have always maintained a freelance graphic design business to keep my skills sharp and constantly evolve my design style. I have been inspired by designers throughout the world, the great outdoors, and science. Eventually, my freelance work grew to outpace my office work, and I founded Amanda Lubow Consulting, LLC as my full-time employment.

My approach to design and small business in general is customer-focused. The goal is always to increase customer satisfaction and experience, so whether that be an easy-to-navigate website, keeping customers informed, or creating a reliable customer support solution, design, process, and automation come together to create beautiful, creative solutions that save time and money and increase customer happiness with your services.

I work with my clients to gain a full understanding of what they are trying to accomplish, what their project needs to say to their customers, and how their customers will interact with the designs and features. No company is the same, so I take the time to dive deep into each unique problem to come up with a solution that is as functional as it is beautiful.
